She snaps her plumcake mouth,
crosses two yard pegs at the ankle:
Honey, it's not what you drink,
but how you pour it!
Somewhere between wool and water
(handkerchief skirt, these blue bow tights),
pudding and queens scatter over
she lays her hand all in.
